“Going” in video

It’s a total honor to have one of my songs be a part of Soyoung L. Kim’s video for her upcoming solo exhibit, “Marks of the Displaced.” This stunning video was directed, filmed, and edited by the brilliant Alesha Gunn. “Going,” written by myself and Lee Payne, plays underneath. Enjoy and make sure to check out Soyoung’s exhibit!

independent enterprises and upcycled favorites from the music world and beyond

Under the Radar - indie music magazine that is packed with new music to discover

Berklee Onsite - Berklee Online’s top-notch annual music conference, with speakers, workshops, and lots and lots of networking

Newsfeed Cafe - awesome cafe at the Boston Public Library’s central branch in Copley Square; perfect place to write, read, catch up on news via the WGBH studio, and munch on avocado toast.

Zip-Dang - one of my all-time favorite indie shops, located in Madison, WI, chock full of handmade, upcycled, recycled, and vintage goodness. Check them out online…shop small, shop often!

Strictly Discs - uber cool independent music store in Madison, WI. They do online orders too!

Newtonville Books - a cozy independent bookstore in the heart of Newton Centre, MA, with a great selection of books and other bits.

Sea Bags - one-of-a-kind bags made from upcycled sails in a ramshackle building on the wharf in Portland, ME. I bought a bag in the shop that one of their fine craftspeople had just finished stitching…it’s a treasure.

Garden State - Zach Braff’s independent film about a guy who returns home for his mother’s funeral is full of incredible acting and heart, and a killer indie soundtrack that stays with you.
